About me
I began my coaching career at Philadelphia University in 2006. Since then I have seemingly worked backwards. Next I became a Varsity high school head coach in the Public League, an assistant Varsity coach in the Cathlolic League, a JV coach, a 7th grade AAU coach and in spring 2018 a 4th grade AAU coach.
All along I have been refereeing and working camps with Mission 5&2. Working backwards is how I planned curriculum in my classrooms during this past decade as well. I start with the objective in mind then find creative ways to scaffold the learning so we can reach that target.
When I was in 5th grade Director of Mission 5&2, Steve Cloran, was a camp counselor and introduced me towards his passion for the game during a defensive station. Years later he became my coach during my senior year of high school and more recently I joined his staff at Cardinal O'Hara.
Throughout all these years our conversation has continued about how to best develop young players and coaches. I feel very fortunate that because of their commitment to quality and helping others, Steve and Kath have provided me a platform to do the same. This has been a great Mission!
