Your New Drills

The game feels like one big blur to our newest players. These "drills" are small chunks of the game with simple objectives. Treat it like a gym class game and watch them absorb the info. They just needed a way to focus!

Quick Pass

 

  • 4 v1​ (or 3v1 or 5v1)

  • Offense is 10-12 ft apart, can only pivot

  • Defense free to roam

  • Make X amt of passes in a row

*If the ball hits the ground start again

*If defense touches the ball ever start again

Pivot Pass

  • Same grouping as Quick Pass

  • Ball starts in the middle

  • Pass to any player and receive it back

  • Pivot towards next player and repeat

*Have 2 or more groups compete to make 10 passes first

*Change directions

I Need Space


  • Start with 2 players. 1 with a ball at the top of the key. The other on a wing about 10-12 ft away.
  • Dribble at the teammate and it pushes them away. Dribble away and it pulls them with (like a school of fish).
  • Always maintain the same distance
  • Pass it after 2 or 3 dribbles. 
  • Add a 3rd player, then 4th and 5th once they get it.
